 Welcome to Getting Started - Fly Fishing for Trout on Southern Alberta Rivers. The goal of this 5 part series is to go over some important basics that all new fly anglers should know when getting into the sport, specifically new anglers in Alberta. Over the next few weeks we will be covering:

 With the cost of an entry level fly rod setup dropping and the quality of these set-ups improving a large barrier to entry for the sport of Fly Fishing is being removed. Whats left as the biggest remaining barrier to entry is the relatively steep learning curve. This series hopes to flatten that curve as well as provide some outside resources that readers can use to learn on their own.
