Sasha was born in Montreal, Canada but has spent most of his life in Calgary. He first started fly fishing to break the routine imposed by the COVID shutdowns and to give himself an activity for the evenings after a day out riding mountain bikes in Fernie. With the help of a good friend of his he was able to catch his first Bow River Brown and the rest is history.

His true passion lies in exploring streams that have had little to no traffic in the hunt for big bull trout and cutthroat trout as well as hopefully spending some time on flats hunting Bonefish, Grand Trevally and possibly permit.
