Kara was introduced to Spey casting while working at a BC coastal lodge, sparking over two decades of steelheading experience on legendary rivers like the Thompson, Bulkley, Kispiox, and the Dean, where she spent 10 years managing a lodge. Since her first invitation to the prestigious Jimmy Green ‘Speyorama’ in 2012, she has competed nine times and secured podium finishes nearly every year. Kara won the Women’s event in both 2024 and 2026, setting a new tournament record for the Women’s Longest Cast at 157 feet.

Josh is the owner of Out Fly Fishing's and had been a guide since 2003. His passion and love of fly fishing are second to none. In University, Josh did an eye tracking study for his Master's Thesis, which was on the visual characteristics of expert fly casters. Each lesson is one hour long, weather permitting.
