How to Layer
For Winter
For Winter
Snow and ice can't keep us away from the fish.
What's our secret? Wearing proper layers in the cold weather that not only keeps you warm but also dry. Finding proper layers with materials that allow you to keep your feet in the water will prolong your fishing season beyond what you thought was possible.
First Layer
The first layer to touch your skin needs to be thin with material that wicks sweat; such as polyester or merino wool.
second layer
Your next layer should be an insulating layer to keep you warm; look for polyester fleece, down or synthetic insulated materials.
third layer
The final layer should be a wind and water resistant/repelling layer to protect you from wind, rain, and snow.
