Before you hit the water, make sure you have your fishing license for 2025; you can purchase them online by clicking here.
Stoneflies are fluttering, trout are looking up, and it’s time to throw meat. Hucking foam is a full-contact sport this time of year — check out our top the patterns that move fish.
Top 5 Dries

1. Double Stack Chubby Chernobyl
New MFC Stonelfy Pattern - A great floater with lots of vis. The ultimate hopper/dropper dry fly. The dubbed body under the foam makes for a realistic imitation of your favourite stonefly.

2. Water Walker
New MFC Stonefly Pattern. The Water Walker is incredibly durable and is a great stonefly imitator, hopper or general attractor.

3. Morrish Still Stone
RIO's Morrish Still Stone is as juicy as our Fluttering Stone, just minus the wings. Ideal for when there's too many of the real thing, switch it up with a spent stonefly and get ready for the slurp.

4. Fool's Gold Stonefly
MFC Stonefly Pattern floats like a cork, is extremely visible and has an incredible stonefly profile. Addressing the issue that makes many stonefly patterns hard to cast, this pattern has a full enough wing, without being overdressed, so its easier to cast and makes less messes out of leaders.

5. Fuzzy Wuzzy
A simple, effective, high floating, easy to see Stonefly pattern that skates well.
Top 5 Nymphs

1. Sili-Leg Stone Orange TB
This is all the same things you know and love about the Rubber Legs but with the addition of a Orange painted Tungsten Bead to speed up the sink rate.

2. Rubber Leg Jewel Stonefly
It's all in the details. The Rubber Leg Jewel stone stands out in a crowd of nymphs thanks to a glass bead in the thorax. It's heavy enough to get down quickly to show the fish what they really want.

3. Hook Up Stone
This semi-realistic stonefly nymph is tied on a strong slightly curved nymph hook but it has a conehead, and two beads that cause it to ride hook up and works perfectly as a heavy point fly when Euro fishing.

4. Rubber Legs TB
This is all the same things you know and love about the Rubber Legs but with the additon of a Tungsten Bead to speed up the sink rate.

5. Copperback Stone
Copper bodied nymph with realistic shellback.
