Leader & Tippet
Depending on how clear the water is, what you're targeting, and how spooky the fish are, you're gonna want to have the right leader and tippet. Try the Absolute Trout Stealth Finesse or leaders and tippet in 4x to 6x.
Fly Lines
Having the right fly line makes a big difference in presenting your flies to the fish. When you're fishing cold mountain streams, we recommend the following lines: Airflo Ultra Supple Winter Coating, Airflo Superflo Tailwater Taper, Airflo Superflo Universal Taper, Rio Technical Trout, & Rio Glacial Gold.
Bear Spray
The bears are out and you should always be bear aware. We now carry bear spray at the shop for all our customers headed to bear country.
Questions? Need help? Drop by the shop and our shop staff will be happy to help you choose the right flies and gear for wherever you're headed.
Tight lines!
