Youth Ambassador Series: Chasing Bass with Ryden
One evening at our cottage in Ontario, I was out on my paddle boat fly fishing with a popper. I was casting and casting but couldn’t get a hit.
Then there was a huge explosion, a big ol’ bucketmouth was busting bait. I casted right on the swirl and stripped it in slowly. I saw a wake coming from behind my fly and… Boom! A nice sized largemouth smoked the fly. The thing fought so hard, screaming line but luckily stayed out of the weeds. Fortunately, I landed him right beside the dock, so I jumped onto the dock and took a quick picture of my bass, then let him swim off to be caught another day.
