Crafty Shrimp

This extremely versatile shrimp pattern is deadly for redfish, but equally well suited for baby tarpon or permit, as well as any other shrimp eating fish on the flats.  Redfish anglers rely on this pattern all season long, in virtually every fishing condition.

Gink and Gasoline rated this the #1 Redfish Pattern, but just fishing this fly for redfish would be missing out on so many opportunities.  On a FL trip with our Hosted Travel Manager we caught redfish, sea trout, jack crevalle, barred jack, baby tarpon, bonefish, snook, lady fish, blue fish, peacock bass, large mouth bass and tilapia.  If it swam we threw this fly at it and it out produced so many other patterns that fished very well for only a select few species.
