Our UV2 enhanced schlappen is the ideal feather for use on Bass and Saltwater streamers or wrapped as a hackle for salmon and steelhead flies. The colors are bold, and the UVF and UVR allow fish to key in on your pattern. One guide I met in Washington now has his clients using flies only tied with UV2 materials. He feels he nearly doubled his clients catch rate because of the fusion of colors and wavelengths they emit.
Most schlappen feathers come from right in-over and around the tail. They all have long soft flowing fibers and are perfect for patterns you want movement on. Again....We use them in all our Steelhead and spey patterns. Sizing runs from about 1/0 to 4's and all are Bold-Dyed™
