Ultra Thread is a strong, smooth, flat, lightly waxed, slow building nylon fly tying thread. It has a breaking strength of about 2 lb. 

A perfect, nylon thread for tying medium flies in sizes #8-#14.
Exceedingly strong for its diameter. Ultra Thread is made of continuous polyester filaments, slightly bonded, which ties flat on the hook.
Waxed.
